A professor was shocked that so many students were starting to drift left toward socialism, which is an ego driven philosophy of perpetual victimhood…where the victims believe the world needs to cater to the victim instead of them putting in the hours to get what they desire. A right wing approach is about setting a goal and working hard to make those goals a reality. A left wing socialism approach is telling a perpetual story of “I can’t” and then demanding everything be delivered to that person anyway….for no effort in return. So the professor started to see this dangerous transformation to an entitlement based belief system inside his very own class…..so he set up an exercise. Socialism is either about a) not working hard and wanting what the hard working folks have anyway or b) not working hard and expecting the government to provide the base necessities of life at no charge…..as the person tells their daily story of why “they can’t”.

The professor said, “here’s our exercise in socialism, so everyone knows how it works in real time. Our next test will be averaged. The people who don’t study will directly benefit from the people who do study and the people who do study will be pulled back down by the people who don’t.”

The only people who cheered this along were the people who didn’t study. The hard working students studied anyway, as per their lifelong conditioning to work hard. The averaged mark for the class was a B-, which of course the hard working students (used to getting A’s) didn’t like what so ever. After the next test, the averaged mark for the class was a D because the hard workers lacked incentive to continue their hard work and of course the students who wanted a free ride didn’t study at all AGAIN anyway. Conflict arose quickly among all the students because that’s what socialism is all about. Everyone is equally broken, depressed and dis-empowered. All of sudden no one liked socialism. The professor said, “yes, that’s socialism. In the end, no one likes it.” Our entitled generations (and a corrupt government) are now cheer-leading this 5 star, first class ride into the abyss…..and soon everyone will be living out this exercise if they’re not careful.
