The key to health is not about knowing the best diet or the best exercise routine. The key to health is knowing “the difference“. Health is based on knowing what items or services will give you power and which ones will take your power away. Health is about knowing the difference between things that will make you sick and things that will make you healthy. Could you tell if someone was tyring to poison you, even if they were wearing a uniform you were taught to place blind faith in? 

The people who come into my office are people who have lost their ability to tell the difference. Many people coming into my office have their word definitions mixed up. Some think smoking will RELAX them or that poisoning themselves with Dairy Queen on a Friday night is a good REWARD for a hard weeks’ work. Many believe marijuana or a glass of red wine are healthy. I quickly ask them if they would suggest to me that I start drinking red wine every night or smoking marijuana in an effort to increase my health? At that point, a lesson in knowing the difference begins. 

When I suggest eliminating the foods that are literally killing my clients many fire back, “WELL YOU GOTTA LIVE, RIGHT!” To many of my clients, killing themselves has got defined as the GOOD LIFE or LIVING THE GOOD LIFE etc. What my clients usually have lost is their ability to tell the difference.
