Psychology shows us that we fall in love with our captors because we are wired for survival. What this means is that we’re more likely to be attracted to people who can hurt us than the people who can love us. This is commonly known as Stockholm Syndrome or Battered Woman’s Syndrome. This facet of psychology is very interesting, pointing toward the female pursing the strong alpha male out of fear and not for acquiring stronger genetics through reproduction as once believed. This also means that the more tyrannical a governing force, the more people will back it and respect it…..as opposed to a governing force that is loving and compassionate. Our genetic Achilles heel if you will…..we give our energy to what we hate and fear, not to what will really nurture us and make us happy.

We see this in effect on the streets of the world today as most people who are adorning their corrupt governments in respect and admiration are doing so out of fear and for no other reason what so ever. Unless humans are aware that they’re most likely to make friends with the people they fear the most, they’ll always produce situations like we see today….where most of the public are doing nothing but repeating the lies of known liars, so they can make friends with the biggest bully in the school yard…which is government. This also works for employment psychology as well. People going to work for the government prominently do it out of fear, because working for the bully makes them safer. If this psychology is correct, we end up in relationships with people and ideas we fear instead of people and ideas we love.

How odd is that? Could certainly explain lots in world today where the public can’t get enough of their corrupt politicians. The more evil and corrupt the government mandates, the more the Stolkhom Syndrome we see. Are you living your life out of fear or love? Could you have picked everything from your job to your companion out of fear…and not love? That’s a real brain twister, to say the least. Never a more important time to ask these questions as governments ramp up their brutality all across the globe, to potentially trigger instant approval and admiration, though nothing but cold hard fear.
