As a man, I don’t get too many times in my life anymore when a can fall asleep in the arms of a loving parent. As children, this is something we adored, just cuddling into our mother or father, knowing we were safe. This safe and protected feeling triggered some of the best restorative sleeps we could ever imagine. As I’ve transitioned into full adulthood and became the care giver to many, I do the cuddling and protecting now…..and that restorative/protective sleep appeared missing in my life, until I remember the joy of nature.
