My friend calls me last week. He just paid $10,000 toward his children’s education fund, $11,000 in retirement contributions and then still had to pay $15,000 in income taxes. Within 14 days he’s down $36,000 in cash. He paid all this out of his personal savings, without any fanfare, as he does every year……..and he doesn’t make a big deal out of it, never telling his wife that he does all this for the family, just so everything runs smooth. That’s what a mature alpha male does……protects the family at all costs, brings peace to the household, reduces chaos, sacrifices, provides a safe (non chaos filled) living environment for his wife and children. His wife comes up to him (just after my buddy is torn to shreds by the finance monster) and hints she’s not entirely satisfied lately because her husband doesn’t take her out and buy her things like he used to. He gave her the owl face as hard as anyone has rolled their eyes at anyone, in all of human history.
Stalled evolution is common today in both genders. This just happens to show stalled evolution in the female. Stalled evolution is where a person clings to what they used to know in their childhood and brings those dysfunctional coping mechanisms with them into adulthood. Adulthood is different than childhood and when evolution stalls, we find ourselves just bigger children living adult lives. Having child like living principles in adulthood will only bring pain, chaos and crisis. Saying that, we do have a society of professional life long teenagers (the pro-teens), who are living very painful, chaos filled and unsatisfying lives. The solution is to allow natural evolution and maturity to occur by moving away from toxic media and toxic lifestyles. Health is the only foundation upon which natural evolution can be built upon.
