Self sabotage is easy to see in our lives. It’s the smoker who can’t stop smoking. It’s the drinker who can’t stop drinking. It’s the person who joins a gym but they don’t attend. It’s the person who does make it to the gym buy they eat more junk food after each workout. It’s the person with home exercise equipment they never use. It’s the person who keeps spending money they don’t have. It’s the person who finds the same defective romantic partners no matter how hard they try to start better relationships. It’s the person who keeps going back to their doctor, even though their doctor’s advice never solves the problems and only advances their disease state. It’s the person who wants to start a business, who keeps procrastinating by watching TV. It’s the person who buys 3 self help books every year but never reads them at all or never finishes reading them. Self sabotage isn’t bad luck. Self sabotage is a fear of success and betterment, held inside our minds. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we can reprogram for success at anytime.
Self sabotage is a cycle of doing what makes your life worse, even though there’s a part of yourself that wants your life to get better. Self sabotage is frustrating. It doesn’t make any sense. It isn’t logical to spend money and time creating your worst life but people do it everyday. As a self sabotage coach, I can tell you with 100% certainty that these self abusive and illogical habits NEVER EVER stop unless you understand the part of the brain driving the self sabotage cycle. This part of the brain is called the subconscious and frankly you can program it for success just as easy as the government and media has programmed it for disaster. You don’t have to be sick, overweight, broke or depressed. You can change our programming by this time next week, by following a few easy steps.
