Some people find themselves over eating at night. One of my tips for staying thin, toned and healthy is to never eat after 7:00pm. Some people messaged today that they over eat at night and were wondering what to do. Like all situations, which need addressing in our lives, knowledge is the key.
It’s called emotional eating because we’re actually trying to eat the emotions that are absent from our every day life. If we’re not happy, satisfied or feeling good (all those are emotions) we try to eat the emotions missing from our lives because they’re not being generated from inside of ourselves, so we try to put them inside of ourselves with foods that activate neurological pleasure pathways. Many people think that emotional eating is about overeating because “they are emotional people” but that’s not entirely true. Emotional eating is about trying to drive happy emotions into our body, through the mouth, with chemically sedative and health destroying items. Some people smoke more at night, drink more at night, roll more joints at night, do more drugs, eat more junk foods etc etc……..because after the day of distraction is over and the body calms, a re-connection occurs. As we sit and stop moving, we get to meet our true self in a way, and if we don’t like what we’re seeing or feeling, we pound the good time feelings into ourselves, to make up for what’s missing. As our past fears, traumas and stresses try to come up to talk to us……we drive them back down into our body with narcotics of same kind. Every day without narcotics (junk food is a proven narcotic) is an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves. Every day with narcotics is about continuing a divorce from what we really need to be happy long term. Your life may change radically if you don’t eat the junk (or smoke, drink etc) or you may explode in anger or you may cry but how long do you put off listening to what your body has to say about the life you’re living. If not now, when?
The nervousness, anxiety and depression we often feel at night is because we’re missing a meaningful relationship with ourselves. We don’t need an affair with the sexy person of the day down at the office, to make us truly happy. External focus and external satisfaction is the illusion, the trap. We tell ourselves……the new car will fix everything, the new tattoo or piercing will make me happy and get me the attention I need to fill what I’m missing, a new set of fake breasts will finally make me at peace with myself, another sit com, another movie, more time on facebook, maybe a marathon, maybe if I work out more, more internet porn, more shopping, maybe I take more steroids, maybe I do more drugs, maybe I take on more things to make me more busy……….all ways our ego traps ourselves in the illusion because the illusion is more familiar but will never meet our needs long term. The ego wants to look outwards because the inside is too dark and messy……..but what we’re really looking for is in the dark and the messy. In order to change, we need to feel our pain and narcotics block our pain. Simple stuff.
What we do need is to start a passionate love affair with ourselves and focus in on what all humans need to be happy………which is the development of our selfhood and our personal sovereignty AWAY from the collective, the hive mind and the herd. Our pain comes from us not being allowed to deliver our true gift to humanity because we’re programmed into an invisible prison of sameness by our handlers. Curing that pain, which we often feel at night, has nothing to do with anything outside of ourselves. It has to do with what can only be found when one turns inward. We are the answer. We are what we seek. We’re depressed because we seek things outside and not inside. We’re depressed because we miss ourselves and what we were always meant to be. I meet so many people who say, “I just want to live my life” and I look at their lives……….and that’s not their life they’re living, it’s someone else’s life and that’s why they’re not completely satisfied.
Please don’t think feeling blue or self abusing at night with junk food is abnormal because it’s not and there is a way out. The way out is the bravery that can only be found in the adult ego. The adult ego has no issue facing pain unsedated and unmedicated. The child ego runs from pain, sedates to pain and medicates the pain away….because it’s a child and is afraid. The child ego thinks minute to minute. The adult ego thinks 5, 10 or 15 years down the road. If you’re sedating with health destroying addictions at night, instead of dealing head on with your problems (which are often not as big or as hard to solve as you think), you’re operating out of the child ego. The child ego is important when you’re playing with your kids at the beach but it has no part to play in the successful life of a true adult. Adult up, start thinking about where your actions are going to bring you 5, 10 or 15 years down the road, make logical decisions, face your pain unsedated, develop some life strategies and lead by example for all around you. One life. One time at bat. Make it count. Adult up and walk into your best life unsedated, with your head held high. It’s time to embrace the true adult you were always destined to be. Watch for my audio coaching set coming out soon regarding how to make peace with your inner saboteur.

Excited to hear the audio’s.
Do you ever talk specifically on how to face the pain and address those issues to resolution? The “how” of feeling it and releasing it?
Also, do you ever discuss your diet and how you eat?
I do this quite often and also offer this service for interested parties.
