Today the average person is in more crisis situations than any generation before them. When we need solve any problem, it’s logical that we need do nothing more than the exact opposite of what created the problem in the first place. Although this appears simple, rational and logical…most people today are not trying to solve their problems by doing the opposite of what created the problem. Today people have been conditioned that ‘adding’ is better than ‘taking away”. That moving forward is better than moving backwards. Well, it’s easy to see that if we don’t practice the “take away” method to solving problems, things get worse……much worse.
Take for example a child who’s sick. Inside a society that pays no attention to what makes children sick, it’s relatively difficult to “take away” from what’s causing the illness because that vital health information, for a lack of a better phrase, is hidden from us and omitted from our sources of common knowledge.
What’s programmed and conditioned into us is the “add on” method of problem solving. The “add on” method of problem solving is a belief that there needs to be more of something to solve the problem, never less. Basically, the “add on” method is the exact opposite of the “take away” method of problem solving. The “add on” method is about continuing to do what’s not working, hoping some magical result will eventually present itself.
Children who are sick are sick for a reason. Sickness is the opposite of health so a sick child is lacking health. Health is based on 5 key foundational principles which are 1) quality food 2) quality water 3) quality exercise/movement 4) quality rest/recuperation and 5) quality love/connection with parents/family and/or guardians.
When a child is sick, what’s making the child sick has to be taken away….not added to. The junk food has to be taken away. The drinks, other than clean spring water, need to be taken away. The exercise usually has to be modified by either a) taking away the various “TV/computer screens” a child stares into or b) the never ending enrollment in sports/after school activities has to be reduced. (the excessive sports and after school activities have to be taken away)
In regards to exercise with children in this day and age, it appears to be a case of too little because of one form or another of screen addiction (cell phones, tablets, TV or computer etc) or excessive sports based exercise. Too much exercise/after school activities for young children is a growing problem in North America, as the general societal belief that “more is always better” is somewhat drowning many children in a tsunami of excess sports based competitions and other activities. Again, we see that “taking away” screens or “taking away” after school activities, in an already over crowded weekly agenda, starts to address poor rest and recuperation times. Kids are not machines. They need rest. There must be a balance.
Taking away from a child’s jammed sports/after school enrollment routines often gives them more time to rest and recuperate, therefore strengthening the immune system and decreasing the chances of sickness. More time with family and loved ones plus less times with other children, helps children reconnect with their families to build the sort of love and security needed to reduce the chances the body will break down and acquire disease now and in the future. Children don’t do well being raised by other children either. Adult/parent time is very important for developing capable children, who turn into capable adults.
It’s also really easy to see with any parent, if they’re really concerned about a child’s health, by what the parent feeds the child in and around sports/after school events. This can act as a quick assessment if a parent’s love is about mimicking what other parents are doing or whether a parent’s love is based on the true genetic/primal protection mechanism of the child. Do we feed our children junk food and tell them we love them because this large contradictory gap between words and actions can really confuse children. Feeding kids junk food has really nothing to do with loving children and can set the children up for a future of ill health and the corresponding lifelong burdens that come along with ill health.
It’s also very easy to see from the common vendors inside a typical North American sports center that a massive disrespect for a child’s general health is an epidemic on its’ own. We’re loving our children as we’re conditioned to love our children and this is a very different kind of love from the type of love our children need to grow into loving and healthy adults. If we’re giving a child a donut, muffin, French Fry or fast food meal inside a jam packed sports weekend and we believe we’re giving the child a great up bringing, we’re not getting what our children really need to thrive. Millions are doing it but that doesn’t make it’s right. Our society is also on the verge of collapse because the sick children and turning into sick adults, who burden the society instead of strengthening it.
Now that doesn’t sound like a normal approach to avoiding sickness in North America because we use the “add on” method of problem solving, which has never worked because it was never designed to work at reducing problems. The “add on” method of problem solving is designed to fuel economic growth through failure and not success.
For example in North America a sick child is not kept away from junk food. In many cases more junk food is our answer. Most charity fund raising events for sick kids in North America use junk food inside the fund raising events. We “add on” more junk food and then “add on” the junk food based charity events when the children fall ill. The charities ask for money because the “add on” systems they support are always short of money because “adding on” doesn’t solve the problem and more times than not……”adding on” makes the initial problems worse and also creates many new problems exponentially.
“Taking away” costs nothing and actually saves money so it’s easy to understand which problem solving method you’re using. Check your bank account and check the number of problems in your life. When we “take away”, we gain more money and the problem disappears because we do the opposite of what’s causing the problem. The “adding on” method ends with money being spent yet no bettering of the situation materializes. One works. One doesn’t. One places money in your pocket. One takes away money.
We ‘add on” the trip to the hospital and the hospitals “add on” the junk food vending machines in the waiting areas and “add on” more junk food coming out of the hospital kitchen. (in the unfortunate incident that a child is admitted and “added on” to the patient list) We “add on” the medication. We “add on” the blood tests. We “add on” the trip to the specialist who “adds on” more medications and more tests. As we drive the highways of North America with sick children, the system is designed to “add on” more junk food into both parent and child alike. We “add on” taking the day off work and “add on” the miles on the car and “add on the gas” and keep “adding on”.
Our answer always appears to be more attack and less care. More action and less resting. More science and less nature. More transferring the responsibility to others and less looking at what’s actually causing the problem. More people telling us what to do and less of us telling ourselves what to do. More continuation of the patterns that made the child sick in the first place and less adherence to the 5 foundations of healthy living. More “adding on” and less “taking away” is what we do in North America and it needs to stop.
Take any example you wish. Take a smoker. Smoking makes people diseased overtime but in North America, sick smokers rarely “take away” the smoking. A smoker usually “adds on” the hospital visits, medications, chemo, radiation, surgery etc because the “add on” method is about avoiding truth and the “take away” method is about facing truth. It’s easy to see that the avoidance of reality may be the largest plague of disease affecting North Americans today.
Take vaccine injured children. We could “take away” the vaccines that have been proven to trigger autism in susceptible children or we could “take away” the environmental toxins that prime the children for sickness or we could “take away” the unhealthy food of both the mother (while pregnant) and infant…….all proven to inhibit proper brain development and all proven to cause children brain damage. We could “take away” but we don’t. We decide to “add on”. We choose what has never worked and we hold fast, even though the results scream no positive solution is coming.
We could solve all our problems with the “take away” method but we’re heavily conditioned that “adding on” is the only answer. We “add on” a speech therapist for the vaccine injured child. We “add on” the medications. We “add on” the bus pass for the injured child or the drive to the hospital or therapist’s office. We “add on” the tutor. We “add on” a special needs section to our existing local school. We “add on” the special needs bus to get the vaccine injured children to school. We “add on” special courses for the teachers, so the disabled children can be handled more efficiently inside our school systems. We “add on” the charity drives for the injured children. We “add on” an extra page to the newspaper, to cover all the other problems we create by “adding on”, instead of “taking away”. We could “take away” but those options don’t “add on” to the economy. “Adding on” what doesn’t work and what we don’t need means the economy grows like a gas fueled brush fire but the end result is financial prosperity while every other system we need to survive collapses.
We “add on” and “add on” and “add on” and “add on”……….not because it works for the children, ourselves or the society in general………but because it works for the groups of people who’ve conditioned us into believing that the “add on” system is how we need to deal with our problems. If we didn’t “add on”, there would be no problems. (or very few)
Our “add on” system is an economic system, designed to “add on” to the economy piece by piece. This economic “add on” system stimulates economic growth for what should be very obvious reasons. Millions of jobs are created, which don’t need to even exist. The stock market soars but it’s because the problems are getting worse, never better. Millions of jobs are created because each solution creates 20 new problems, because the only method that solves any problem is the “take away” method. Currently the “add on” system gives us economic growth at the cost of everything we hold dear and everything we need to secure a healthy environment for future generations. The “take away” method of problem solving only provides jobs that are truly needed. The “take away” method protects the planet, our future children and our future happiness.
The next time you’re looking at a problem to solve, think deeply about your solution method because there’s a good chance you’ve been conditioned to use the “add on” solution of problem solving…and that has never worked. It works for building a fake economy and destroying the world, not solving problems. North Americans have been conditioned to hurt themselves at every turn, in order to grow a fake economy based on failures and not successes. The “add on” model of problem solving has the ability to bring our society to a complete stand still and plunge us into a dark age, the likes of which we’ve never seen in recorded history.
If you really want to solve a problem, start “taking away” what created the problem in the first place. By utilizing the “take away” method to problem solving you ensure the health and happiness of not only your own family….but the planet itself and all future generations as well.
