Here is a good example for understanding how the subconscious mind works and how powerful it can be for forming our behavior, without our direct knowledge.
One of the worst things you can show the subconscious mind is contradiction, in regards to love. Many of my clients were not treated well by their parents at times and some were even physically struck in an aggressive way…….yet their parents also told their children that they loved them. The subconscious mind works on trends and not specifics so it can easily remember the trend that, “the people who love me will also hurt me”.
This can be a pretty bad subconscious mind program to live out, as later in life this person would always connect being loved with unavoidable pain. If you told this abused person that you loved them, they may believe the next thing you are prone to do is hurt them. Relationship problems are obviously bound to occur for that abused person. The abused person would only observe a string of failed relationships in their personal life but would have no real idea of where the problem may be coming from. This person may not want to get close to anyone, including having loving friends, co-workers etc.
The same trend may also trigger self abuse after a display of self love. (because love is always connected to pain in that person’s subconscious mind) What that looks like in real life is simple. It may manifest as a person showing themselves self love with starting a diet or an exercise routine and then the same person sabotages themselves by eating bad food or exercising themselves nearly to death. They would just be living out their subconscious programming. Love and abuse are forever connected in their subconscious mind.
This person may also be afraid to show themselves any form of self love or self care because they’re afraid of the pain that always comes with that. This means that this person may be prone to reject any idea where they show love and respect for themselves…. and that includes eating well, exercising normally and all the habits that make people healthy……..because all healthy habits reflect a love of self. When you’re taught that love comes with pain………….you will avoid loving yourself, loving others and loving the planet. Avoid the love and you avoid the pain. Can you see why this is not healthy?
If a person has a hard time losing weight or sticking to a new routine that involves showing themselves love, something in their subconscious mind is programmed against that concept.
Often when you investigate into a troubled client’s past, the most disturbing trend I’ve discovered is the involvement in religions where the GODS reflect the same conditional love model. Children are told that a GOD does love them but the same GOD will punish them or even send them to hell if they don’t cooperate. True love, called unconditional love, comes with no threats of pain or punishments. I see a direct correlation everyday between a person’s inability to love self and their exposure to religions where the foundations are based on conditional love. (conditional love means that, “I will always love you but also hurt you if you step out of line”………………THAT’S NOT LOVE……………that child then turns into an adult who then shows their children the same type of conditional love………and that unhealthy mind virus moves into the next generation)
The easiest way to reprogram for health is to constantly make baby steps through self education and expose yourself more and more to THE TRUTH…..about everything. Start with exposing yourself more and more to the truth about real, live whole organic food and how it’s literally made specifically for you via a love union between the sun and the earth. The sun impregnates the earth and the result of this love affair is life itself. By consuming this life force, you’re literally eating love itself and that’s a great place to start in order to heal any love deficits you may have encountered as a child. Yes, it sounds a little bizarre and it’s a new way to look at things……………….but if everything else has failed you…………..what do you have to lose?
Here are 3 great documentaries to get you started regarding the truth about food. Click here to watch “Food Inc“. in parts. Click here to learn about the documentary titled “Processed People“. Click here to learn more about the documentary “Food Matters” and watch the first 8 minutes of the film.
Practice unconditional love, which means you don’t judge yourself and by extension………..you will not judge others. Listen and watch for people who judge others. (they often read those trashy magazines and watch TV trash equivalents to sharpen their judgement skills) They’re just as hard or harder on themselves. Always waiting to send themselves to hell for behavior that’s only human in the first place. It’s the ultimate trap.
Love yourself no matter what you do or who you are………..and with that try to treat yourself a little better everyday. If you can’t take loving yourself for 24 hours per day, do it a little bit at a time and the subconscious mind won’t notice until it’s too late. The journey of 1000 miles starts with one step.
