Facebook Asks, “What’s on Your Mind?”

Facebook asks “what’s on your mind” before you post but it’s a loaded question isn’t it. What’s on most people’s mind is very different from what will get likes and positive feedback. So it’s not really a fair question of course because what’s on most people’s minds won’t ever be posted. Like…… “I’m scared of getting old and dying” or “I am lonely and I don’t think I am good enough” or “I am tired and need a break but I have built a life where I will die running tying to keep up.”

As for what’s on my mind personally, you don’t even want to know……because in this control based system you’re supposed to say what gets likes and smiley faces and cheers from the collective. Saying all that, let me start with what’s on my mind. I am not sure of what this place is, this earth. I am not sure if anything taught to us is true what so ever. I am afraid of dying without fulfilling my destiny and sometimes I look back on my life and think I really screwed some things up that I can’t reverse. What is really on a person’s mind is often different than what they post because the system drives us away from what we really want to say and more toward what people want to hear.
