Many times people give to others and look like they’re helping the less fortunate but it’s merely a clever trick of the subconscious to stay busy helping others, as the most acceptable way to avoid helping themselves achieve more in their own lives. Helping others is always rewarded in our society, so it’s a “safe play” to make ourselves feel accepted by the herd. Inversely if you help yourself become better, become more or rise up to your full moral potential you’re labeled in not so colorful terms….so the subconscious puts all the signals together and decides to make the “safe play”. When I see people giving and giving and giving (to the detriment and complete exhaustion of themselves) I see the cleverness of the subconscious mind at work, making sure the person stays stuck, as a way to make the “safe play” and to bond with the herd of mediocrity. Are you helping, giving and focusing all your energy toward helping others because you don’t think you’re worthy of helping yourself and because you’re afraid of the attack that comes from our inverted society when you rise up to what you’re capable of? Something to think about. Undo the buckle, release your baggage, let it fall to the ground and rise up.
