This is a life saving device, that was standard equipment in most hospitals not long ago, where sick infants would be exposed to the sun so their diseases would lift. I believe it was called a heilo cage.

Civil engineers of the ancient past and up until the early part of the 19th century were schooled in the benefits of sunlight for human health and were forced to designed street layouts and all public buildings (especially hospitals) so that the citizens would be exposed to maximum sunlight. Humans need sunlight as much as plants need it, to attain optimal wellness. It was never the son of God, it was always the SUN OF GOD, the one who heals and saves the world.
