Special beer advertises that it improves sex drive but all alcohol does that….simply because alcohol deactivates the prefrontal cortex (the part of the brain just behind the forehead) and it’s the prefrontal cortex that keeps our sex drive “in check” and brings morality, ethics and “right from wrong concepts” into the picture. The human sex drive is naturally high for self preservation reasons and if you take your prefrontal cortex off line with alcohol, you’re going to be shooting your sex drive in directions that will only make your life worse on all levels.
Caffeine also takes the prefrontal cortex off line, allowing the human sex drive to wander into areas it shouldn’t be going. I’ve never coached a person with “sex drive issues” (where it was wrecking their lives) who wasn’t drinking coffee or alcohol on a regular basis. Alcohol and caffeine make you a MORALITY DUMMY. The moral of the story is to remember that morality lives in the prefrontal cortex and when you drink coffee or booze, your morality goes missing (chemically you become a sexual deviant)…….so be prepared to get into lots of “life trouble” and never come close to accomplishing anywhere near your full potential. Know how your brain works and make a break for your best life……which won’t include alcohol or coffee/caffeine.
