“I am an RN and work part time in the NICU. About a year ago, I took care of a premature baby who was about to be discharged home. She was eating well, gaining weight, holding her temperature and not setting off her alarms. The neonatologist suggested giving the baby her two months vaccines as she was around that old at that time. She got DTaP and Hib and possibly some others. I know she received two shots, one in each thigh. That night she began setting off her monitors and what we call “trying to die” in the NICU. She had repeated episodes of dropping her heart rate and would quit breathing. The night nurse had to stimulate her to breath every time she had one of these episodes. It was awful. There is no doubt in my mind that she would have been a SIDS case had she been at home and not been on a monitor. The neonatologist declared it “sepsis” and transferred her to another hospital for further testing. It was not sepsis, it was 100% a vaccine reaction. There was just too much correlation between the time the vaccines were given (earlier in the day) and the episodes that started (that same night) in a perfectly healthy baby about to go home from the hospital. I truly believe DTaP is a highly dangerous vaccine and it is killing children. I think of that little girl often and wonder how she is doing now. I wish I would have said something to the neonatologist and to my fellow nurses. I no longer want to be a part of this system that pushes vaccines and harms children in the process.”
