Moving Past Pain and Addiction and Moving Into Your Best Life
Addiction is used to stay in the life we don’t want because the society we live in discourages change into the life we do want. The amount of addiction in a society is inversely proportional to the amount of true mental and spiritual freedom that society offers its’ citizens. What that means is that the less freedom you have, the more addicted you’ll be. A non addicted life can be achieved inside a tyrannical and non free society but one must master the art of being free inside the mind, in order to stay addiction free inside that tyrannical culture.
All addiction follows the same pattern. The substance is used to sedate to the pain associated with the addict not changing. Although the person wants to change, they can’t, and therefore the addiction is used to sedate to the pain of sitting inside the life they don’t want, literally boiling themselves to death inside of it. All addictions are pain killers, either driving a foreign sedative substance into the body, or the body generating euphoric chemicals internally as a reaction to an activity. (like a masturbation, sex, facebook or shopping addiction etc etc) Most addictions have gone on so long, the addict can no longer pin point where their original pain is coming from or even that they’re unsatisfied with the life they have. Unfortunately the only solution to pinpointing the source of the the pain and then dealing with it appropriately is stopping the addiction in a short order (cold turkey is good) and then feeling the pain full on, like opening the door of a coal fired blast furnace and sticking your head right inside of it……….and holding it there. FEEL YOUR PAIN and CHANGE in a logical and rational manner. Pain can be our partner by letting us know when we need to change. If we avoid feeling that pain, through addiction, we stay stuck in our stuckness…….staying miserable, in pain and allowing the self destructive and self abusive addiction to run and destroy our lives.
I suggest an isolation “full pain” approach to addiction resolution and CHANGE MANAGEMENT, where the person leaves their immediate environment for 2 weeks and rents a cottage in the woods, all by themselves with no internet, no TV, no music etc. No one can contact them from the outside and everyone is aware what the goal is during the retreat. The addict can call out for help if things get too hot. For a person to explore their pain and explore a logical remedy for that pain, they’ll need to detach from all distractions and all sedative substances. At that point that person’s pain will run them over like a freight train, allowing the addict the ability to trace the source of their pain and then make the life changes they’ve been needing to make for years and even decades. I know people who have never taken a 1-2 week retreat for themselves and in our society isolation retreats are highly discouraged and there’s a firm reason they’re discouraged…………and that’s because our handlers are fully aware that this is where large growths in maturity, logic and rational thought occur. Our society teaches people that the best times are gathering friends together during our brief leisure periods, where everyone gets drunk, high, smokes or sedates with unhealthy foods. This is encouraged through our media and culture in general because it makes our society stuck in what isn’t working, which benefits our rulers and our dark overlords. Walking into your best life is easy, the door is always open. It takes courage and it takes feeling the pain, not avoiding it.

This is incredibly helpful and anyone battling addiction so pretty much everyone needs to read this. It makes so much sense. It was one of the reasons I left AA. They teach you that addiction is caused by a chemical imbalance or genes and it’s a “disease” well I guess if pain is a disease! Because once I faced my pain and dealt with it head on and started some self love practices I no longer wanted to drink. Like the idea of it is absolutely absurd now. Why on earth would I put straight poison into my body? Anyhow this is a great explanation and it could help millions of people in addiction treatment worldwide. I am sharing it with everyone I know!
