Most people today think health is about exercise, calories in/calories out or even what they’re eating but before any of that comes what we believe. Think of ideas as viruses, which infect the minds of the people they’re in. Like all viruses (or parasites) they live at the expense of the host, which means the viruses don’t provide any benefits for the host……and in all cases viruses bleed the life force away from the host. So basically if you believe incorrect health information you’re very prone to be sick, overweight, diseased etc.
See one of the cleverly placed mind viruses is the genetic myth, which programs the mind to blame ourselves for the disease or the weight gain instead of looking at the people giving the false information. This way the incorrect mind virus can go on living inside the person who gave you the wrong information. I know this is all new stuff to many people reading this today but your mind is already half way to figuring it all out for you and the best part of learning about mind viruses (like the genetic myth) is that you get to stop blaming yourself for the bad results in your life. It’s isn’t you. It never was. The information is wrong. You’re right and you were born perfect. (without any genetic flaws)
All that viruses are really interested in is gaining more hosts to live in and multiplying, so how that works with ideas is simple. Someone tells you an idea as a child (like the sun causes cancer etc) and you believe it. After that you repeat the idea to a friend in the school yard or coffee shop and now they believe it. Whether the idea is correct or not or whether it serves the greater good (inside yourself) doesn’t matter. There are plenty of ideas out there today that are not serving anyone (like war, debt, pollution, excess taxation etc) yet that doesn’t slow the bad ideas down or wake the people up, who are infected with the bad ideas.
Bad ideas provide bad results and bad ideas can be described as ideas that don’t serve the greater good inside yourself. 70% of the population are now overweight or obese and that’s because many of our current ideas regarding health are wrong………but that doesn’t stop people from living those incorrect ideas over and over again…..and trapping those people inside cycles of self sabotage or other unhealthy lifestyle habits.
An odd characteristic regarding incorrect health ideas is that the more you use them, the sicker you’ll get. The odd part is that the more sick you get, the more apt you are to return to the bad health idea to prop up your health. (which again only makes you more ill and the cycle of relying on the incorrect ideas only accelerates from there)
For example, Special K is a cereal advertised as a weight loss product. The idea that Special K is a product that provides health or weight loss can indeed infect a person’s mind like a viral body infection. The viral idea can be spread from host to host, like when someone tells a friend that they started a new diet and are eating Special K every morning. The problem with this infection is that Special K causes weight gain because it is white rice mash. Without getting into the hormonal cascade of fat gaining hormones produced when someone eats Special K, all you need to really know is that Special K is a weight gainer and is not a weight loss product………yet the people who eat it should know this………..but then again they’re infected in the way I’m describing. That means the people eating the Special K do see the bad results yet they fall back to relying on the incorrect health idea that Special K is needed for weight loss………..and the result of that is additional consumption of Special K. I think you can see the problem here. All the beliefs below work in this way. They give the opposite result of what the idea is advertised to provide so it just accelerates the person in the wrong direction.
If you’re currently diseased or overweight in any way, there’s a good chance you’re infected with a large number of incorrect health based mind viruses. Yes, those beliefs may be popular but everyone who believes them is equally ill or will shortly become equally ill……just look out the window. The popularity of a belief doesn’t make it true, it just makes it popular. Popular ideas are the most easy to judge because so many people believe them at once, that you can just take a look out the window to see the results of those particular ideas. Do hospitals provide health? Well, just visit a hospital and see if your viral infection allows you to see what’s really going on. With incorrect health based mind viruses, you’re very prone to see what you believe as opposed to believing what you see!
The ideas I’m going to list here are indeed popular mind viruses, which do infect a good majority of the population. Saying that, the people who believe these ideas will rarely (if ever) find optimal health………not because I say so……….but because these beliefs lead to actions that destroy health inside the body.
The beliefs below can be categorized as belonging to a much larger cluster of incorrect ideas called the science/government cluster of mind viruses. People who believe these are generally the victims of authority based structures, where they’ve been conditioned to believe anything science or the government states regarding health issues. Again, anyone who believes these ideas and lives them out will have compromised health of some sort but that’s the tragedy of viral infections………….the disastrous results usually aren’t enough to clue the person in to the idea that what they believe isn’t true.

As stated earlier in the article, these beliefs often come as a cluster because they are pattern based beliefs. Ask yourself why there are no organic buffets in any strip club in North America? It’s because ideas come in clusters, with no middle ground. The people who believe one of the above ideas often believe them all because they choose to be told what to believe, as opposed to looking at the results of their beliefs.
