Often people love to flex their self sabotage in order to announce their failure based belief systems, so they mark their territory or display their colorful (and disastrous) plumage for others to see. In the self sabotage field, we call this “self sabotage peacocking”…..a public display of incompetence, immaturity, addiction, the fear of success and a failure based ideology. Self sabotage peacocking is more common than you may think and it’s meant to signal others, as to say… “don’t expect too much from me. I’m afraid to be my best, so you have to suck up what feeble efforts I put forward in my life.”
I was working with a guy last week and we had an appointment set at 3:00 and this was our first appointment working together. He fires me a text at 1:00 and tells me he’s going to be late. He’s peacocking his failure based plumage, marking his territory as a person not to work with in the future….. just so “things don’t work out”. The saboteur loves to recount the story of, “I tried to be my best and it just didn’t work out. The world always seems against me”. (no shit….you’re always shooting yourself in the foot)
So I peacocked back with my success/no bullshit plumage…letting him know that this was unacceptable. It was a peacock standoff. The saboteur (who’s afraid to rise up because he’ll be attacked by the herd of mediocrity) vs the successful peacock. (who isn’t afraid of greatness and who doesn’t give a shit about the people booing success from the cheap seats). We were belly bucking each other chest high over text for a couple minutes, trying to establish dominance. I insisted on success and he insisted on “sort of trying to make a better life for himself” but not really. In the end my plumage was bigger and I hope he learned how our relationship will operate in the future. If you’re afraid of success, we don’t work together….period, end of story.
I’m having a LIVE Overcoming Self Sabotage Event in October vIa ZOOM for anyone in the world. This event will teach all participants how to reprogram and master their subconscious mind, which is the part of their minds that drive them toward mediocrity….in an attempt to find safety inside the average. If someone does this in their adult years, they will indeed find safety…….but they’ll also find addiction, misery, depression, disease and dysfunction. To accomplish big goals and to live out big dreams, you need this information. This live EVENT is inexpensive, it’s effective and it’s quick. All details at this link. https://bit.ly/3mSG5CW Discount pricing only active for another 5 days. Stop self sabotaging yourself. It’s time to show the world your gifts. No fear. All success. Take action today.
