If you taxed the population at 100% and then made laws to transfer all public savings over to the government (and we are moving closer to this everyday in North America) you still wouldn’t have enough money to pay for our health care system. All health starts with treating the body better and today our health care system runs in the opposite direction of that genetic truth.
Click here to watch a short and very interesting news report about obesity in America. I liked the lady in the news report who said she didn’t like the way fast food tasted but how she ate it 3 times per day anyway. (a classic example of how many people’s talking and actions don’t line up).
I also felt like jumping through the screen when the mother of an overweight boy was upset that she couldn’t afford all the drugs and medical specialists she needed to help her boy lose weight. HEALTH IS FREE AND YOU ONLY NEED TO EAT REAL FOOD TO GET IT. The mother as well would have been 100% in charge of the habits of her child for at least the first decade of life. To people who can never get healthy……..it’s always about looking to others for help and avoiding any responsibility for the situation. Getting healthy is about admitting you created the problem and then using the power involved with taking personal responsibility to reverse the tide.
What’s the mother starting to understand? The mother is starting to understand the idea that it gets really expensive trying to do the right thing at the wrong time. The solutions she is considering as well will only make her son more ill. The mother is programmed that the answers lie outside the house………..and they never do………….so she is just going to end up getting her son cut and drugged inside the medical system. That has never made the body of anyone more healthy.
I also loved the unhealthy food lobbyist who tried to equate getting rid of unhealthy foods to a breach of basic American freedom. You do have the right to kill yourself but why should the rest of the general public pay those people to sit at home and eat bad food. It makes no sense. Obesity is also not genetic. Yes, you see obesity for many generations in certain families but it’s because they all eat the same obesity and disease causing foods.
In the middle of the film a consumer freedom advocate says that it should be parents who need to protect their children from bad food but healthy food education is road blocked at every turn from ever getting to the parents. If fast food inputs where not provided with free government money, fast food would actually be more expensive than healthy alternatives. Our government is taking our money, giving it to unhealthy companies and the public are just getting fatter and more sick because of it.
It’s true that the poorest people are the most overweight but the correlation is misunderstood. The bad food comes first to completely cripple a person’s ability to perform normal tasks for themselves or an employer. After that, the income drops. Just look at the raw food chef inside the news report. She is beautiful and intelligent…………..always having the ability to care for herself financially because of her health.
Everything you see in the video can be drawn back to originating from a lack of love and a lack of self respect for the human body in general. The lack of respect for the human condition produces everyone from the parent who will not prepare their child a non-processed lunch for school to the corrupt government officials who make sure junk food makes it onto our dinner plates. Those are the branches of tree. The seed is a lack of love and respect for ourselves.
I teach my daughter everyday the benefits of being healthy just by getting up and walking around the house. She sees my health within my physical body and she mimics what I eat and how I respect all nature in general. (and that includes myself and what I eat) I also teach her to thank her food for the life it gives before she consumes it. This has been proven to make the food easier to digest and this information can be found inside the book, “The Secret Life of Plants”.
Make 2011 a year of self love. Start treating yourself better and everything else just falls into place after that. Start with something simple like just drinking glass bottled spring water everyday. Learn to spend money on yourself because you love yourself. Many people can give money to help another person half way across the world but would never spend on themselves because they were taught they’re not worth it. Start showing yourself love slowly and work toward greater forms of self love. Click here if you need some examples of what self love looks like.
