Look at the word “blame”. Broken down it’s b-lame or be-lame, which of course really adds appropriate energy to the word. Sometimes the energy isn’t so appropriate like the word “bless”, which can be broken down into b-less or be-less. Given the origins of that word, I’m very careful to avoid using it. Word magic is about the hidden energy in language, which can change the feelings and emotions of the people listening in or reading it.

Spelling of course also describes magic, like “a magic spell”. We see “writing” described as cursive, as in “to set a curse”. We see the word “author” in the word “authoritarian” or the word “authority”…..meaning that the person who can master the written word can gain command of others who don’t know how word or energy magic operates. We see the word grammar coming from the ancient druid Grimoire….meaning a very powerful spell. Even the word sword is simply “word” with an S added to it……because words can easily become weapons in the right (write/rite) hands. Even the letter S is an ancient symbol for “man of knowledge”, so it’s easy to see why the S was added to “word” to make the word “sword”. Even psychotherapist…….breaks down into psycho-the-rapist. And I don’t even really know what that’s all about…but I know I look at words much more closely now than ever before.
