The article title gives the reader the impression that pedophilia and child molestation is simply “a 5 year problem” but if you do the research into the origins of the Roman Catholic Church, something much more sinister comes into view. In the end, a good person who doesn’t believe they’re flawed and who doesn’t molest kids or conduct any other moral crimes of the highest order, has no need for such organizations. Saying that, not all people involved in religion are immoral or conduct high crimes. Going beyond that, we need to ask ourselves why religion is such a lightening rod for pedophiles, the soulless and the morally corrupt? And that’s because when you’re a bad person, rotten to the core, something like organized religion becomes extremely attractive to the psyche……….because it sells the concept that no matter how much of an immoral self serving psychopath you are, there’s a invisible man in the sky who will always love you and always forgive you. A truly moral person needs no such mental support structure to justify their already MORAL behavior and existence.
