Placing Non Conflict as Highest Priority…

I know a lady who sees things where she works that she doesn’t think are fair, moral or even legal. She works at a government installation, where they execute directives daily……..which are the exact opposite of their stated mandates. This government office says they’re supposed to being doing a, b and c……..but they’re actually doing x, y and z. She thinks that’s illegal all on its’ own. They’re supposed to be helping the society (because that’s the story they tell the public) but they’re not. My friend sees all this and is afraid to speak up…..yet she says nothing and hopes the problem fixes itself. She places “non conflict” as the highest priority, as a coping mechanism to interface with her highly corrupted work environment. Unknown to herself, this pattern of recognizing danger and “non action” has a massive impact on her home life as well.

She’s now overweight, stressed out, medicated with toxic medical drugs plus she’s getting some pretty good media and alcohol addictions going. Some other parts of her personal life are now “on fire” as well. What she’s not realizing is that in psychology there’s a saying…… “the way we do one thing, is the way we do everything.” By teaching herself to see problems at work AND TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THEM, she’s actually taught herself (by default) to do the same in her personal life. She’s taking the same “non conflict” attitude from work and now avoiding conflict with herself, as a way to deal with her own personal problems. She doesn’t want to even engage herself currently….regarding her own weight issues, her growing addictions and her downward spiraling life in general. Say nothing, don’t rock the boat, comply, obey and keep your head down……are now all part of her coping mechanisms, both inside and outside the work environment. Working a job you don’t enjoy, where corruption abounds, has much bigger impacts on the human psyche than most people believe. Her addictions are also growing to sedate herself to her harsh spiritual existence, which has no way of bringing happiness into her life. You can’t fool your soul, although many try. When you work inside a corrupt environment, you become that corruption and you vibrate that corruption when you leave the work space.
